 Halmahera and Raja Ampat Birding Tour 11 Days / 10 Night

Itinerary:

Day 1st:

meeting point at the airport in Ternate, I will pick you up and we will go to the port. from the port, we will go by speedboat to cross to sofifi (Halmahera). from Sofifi, we will drive (4 hours) to the place called Weda resort.

Day 2nd:

breakfast at 4:30am, after breakfast we will go to see Wallace standardwing Bird-of-paradise at the displaying place and another bird suck as: blue-and-white kingfisher, common paradise kingfisher, ivory breasted pitta, northern molucan pitta,and many more.

in the afternoon we will birding from the main road to see another bird suck as: Mollucan cockatoo, moluccan Whistler, purple dolarbird, rusty breasted couckostrike, golden monarch, sombre kingfisher, etc.

the nights bird, moluccan scops owl, moluccan owlet nightjar.

Day 3rd:

birding in the morning until lunch time. after lunch, we will drive to aketajawe lolobata National park.

we will stay at the local homestay.

Day 4th-Day 5th:

Birding at aketajawe lolobata National park, 

bird keys: Ivory-breasted pitta, northern molucan pitta, rusty breasted couckostrike, golden monarch, variable dwarf kingfisher, beach kingfisher, sombre kingfisher, moluccan scops owl, moluccan owlet nightjar,etc.

Day 6th:

flight to Manado and stay one night in manado.

Day 7th:

flight to Sorong early morning and then go by boat (2 hours) to Waigeo island. check in at the Resort.

Day 8th-Day 10th:

we will watch and photograph Wilson’s Bird-of-paradise and Red Bird-of-paradise as a main target and Nother bird suck as: yellow billed kingfisher,hook billed kingfisher, palm cockatoo, papuan hornbill, end many more.

Day 11st:

Birding in the morning around the Resort.

Come back to sorong.

End of tour.
