Nimbokrang, Arfak mountain and Waigeo island Birding Tour 15 Days/14 Nights

itinerary:

Day 1st:

meeting point at the airport in Sentani (Jayapura), we will go directly to Nimbokrang (2 hours drive). we will stay at the local homestay arrange by Mr.Alex (guide in Nimbokrang).

after lunch we will go for see Lesser Bird-of-paradise, pale bill Sicklebill, yellow face myna,etc

Day 2nd and Day 3rd:

the tour will start early around 4:30 to have breakfast and start the tour after breakfast.

Bird target:

King Bird-of-paradise, twelve-wired Bird-of-paradise, pinnon imperial pigeon, lowland peltops, sulfur Crested cockatoo, papuan hornbill,etc

Day 4th:

breakfast at 4am, after breakfast we will go to the place to see magnificent rifiebird and some bird around.

after lunch, we will go to Sentani to stay at the hotel near the airport.

Day 5th:

Flight from Sentani to Manokwari, stay one night in Manokwari, because I will buy all the food where we need in Arfak mountain.

Day 6th:

we will go to Arfak Mountain, 2 hours drive  by Car (4WD) because the road is very bed. we will stay at the Homestay in Kwau village or Maybri village (basic homestay).

have lunch, after that we will go to the hide to spotted Magnificent Bird-of-paradise and another bird around.

Day 7th:

breakfast at 5am, after that, we will go the the hide where is Western Parotia displaying and some another bird coming to eat the red fruits suck as: Black eared catbird, black Sicklebill, long tailed Paradigala, blue grey Robin, green backed Robin, etc

lunch they will bring to us, so, we will stay a day at the hide.

Day 8th:

we will go to Vogelkop bowerbird displaying place, the local call it, smart bord where it build the house with colorful thinks like some color fruits and plastic.

Day 9th:

we will go to Superb Bird-of-paradise displaying place.but also another bird will spotted there.

Day 10th:

birding in the morning to found where we missing on the day before.

after lunch, we will go to Manokwari and stay at the hotel.

Day 11st:

Flight from Manokwari to sorong and from sorong by boat (Ferry) to Waigeo island (raja ampat)

after lunch we will birding around the resort.

Day 12nd-Day 14th:

breakfast at 4:30am, we will go to see and photograph Wilson’s Bird-of-paradise, Red Bird-of-paradise, yellow billed kingfisher, palm cockatoo, hooded butcerbird, raja ampat pituhoi, papuan frogmouth, papuan boobook,etc

Day 15th:

go back to sorong

and of tour.
